I would like to let you know a little about me since I will be spending so much time with your child this school year.
I am starting my 26th year of teaching in Granite School District. Over the years I have taught 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grades. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Utah State University in 1983, and my Master’s degree in Education in 2003. I have also completed my Gifted Education Endorsement .
I am married, and my wife and I have six children: four sons, and two daughters. The youngest is 16 and the oldest is 26. We have lived in this area of West Valley City for over 20 years. My wife is also a teacher and teaches first grade at the new Elk Run Elementary School in Magna.
I expect the students in my class to be respectful to me and to each other. I also expect them to work hard and learn in my classroom. They should come to school ready to learn. Please have them leave toys at home.
I am excited to be teaching your children in fourth grade in our beautiful school. I am expecting great things from them this year.
